Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 August 2026

1. Introduction

BTR Media LLC (“BTR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware limited liability company, provides bespoke intelligence- and tradecraft-based experiences to a private clientele. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data of individuals who contact us through betterthanreality.com and cloakanddaggerweekend.com (each, the “Site”) or who participate in our experiences.

We are the controller of the personal data described in this Policy, except where we act as a joint controller with Maximum Game in connection with Operation Suivi (see Section 11).

2. Scope

This Policy applies to personal data we collect through the Site’s inquiry form and in the course of providing our experiences. Because we offer services to individuals in the United Kingdom and the European Union, this Policy is designed to meet the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“EU GDPR”), in addition to applicable United States federal and state law.

3. Personal Data We Collect

3.1 Inquiry form. When you submit our inquiry form, we collect the information you provide: name, email address, telephone number (optional), location, tier of interest, group size, timeframe, and any information you choose to include in the free-text field.

3.2 Operation Suivi participant data. Operation Suivi involves a licensed, real-money private-gaming environment operated with our partner, Maximum Game. Participation requires identity verification and anti-money-laundering (“KYC/AML”) checks. The personal data collected for these purposes is processed jointly by BTR and Maximum Game (see Section 11).

3.3 Technical data. Our Site is hosted on Webflow and serves video through Cloudflare Stream. These providers may process limited technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) as necessary to deliver and secure the Site. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. See Section 5.

4. How We Use Your Data and Our Legal Bases

We use personal data to respond to inquiries and assess fit; to communicate with you; to arrange and deliver experiences; to meet legal, regulatory, and KYC/AML obligations; and to secure our Site against abuse and spam.

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, our legal bases are: (a) your consent, where you submit an inquiry; (b) the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract; (c) compliance with a legal obligation, including KYC/AML; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business, where not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and transmits no data to Google or any advertising network. Spam filtering on our inquiry form uses Botpoison, a proof-of-work method that does not set tracking cookies. Our video and network provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie for bot mitigation. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent mechanism is required; this section serves as our cookie notice.

6. Service Providers and Sub-Processors

We share personal data with the following providers, each acting as our processor:

Formspark — inquiry-form backend; receives and temporarily stores submissions — operated from the Netherlands; data stored in Ireland.

Botpoison — spam filtering (proof-of-work; no tracking cookies) — European Union.

Proton AG — encrypted email delivery and storage of inquiries — Switzerland.

Cloudflare, Inc. — video delivery (Stream) and DNS — United States / global network.

Webflow, Inc. — site hosting and content management — United States.

Fonts are self-hosted; we do not load fonts or other resources from Google.

7. International Data Transfers

Personal data you provide may be transferred to and processed in the United States (Webflow; BTR), Ireland (Formspark), Switzerland (Proton), and the European Union (Botpoison). Switzerland benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision. Transfers to the United States are made subject to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses and/or participation in the Data Privacy Framework.

8. Data Retention

We delete inquiry submissions from Formspark within 30 days of receipt. Inquiries forwarded to our Proton inbox are retained only as long as necessary to evaluate and respond to your interest, and are then deleted, unless a longer period is required by law or to perform a contract. Operation Suivi KYC/AML records are retained for the period required by applicable gaming and anti-money-laundering law.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); in the EU, your local data protection authority.

10. EU and UK Representatives

BTR is established outside the European Union and the United Kingdom and offers services to individuals in both. BTR is appointing representatives in the EU and in the UK; requests may be directed to BTR at the address in Section 15.

EU Representative: Contact BTR Media LLC for the EU Representative information.

UK Representative: Contact BTR Media LLC for the UK Representative information.

11. Joint Controller — Operation Suivi

For Operation Suivi, BTR and Maximum Game jointly determine the purposes and means of processing personal data collected for identity verification and KYC/AML compliance. The essence of that joint-controller arrangement, including how data-subject requests are handled, is available on request.

12. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we process, including encrypted email (Proton) and spam and abuse controls on our Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

13. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and experiences are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version is available on the Site with its effective date.

15. How to Contact Us

Questions or requests concerning this Policy or your personal data may be directed to: btrmediallc@protonmail.com · BTR Media LLC, 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, DE, 19958.

16. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without prejudice to mandatory data-protection rights available to you under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or other applicable law.
